The Love Seat

 

I made this pillow,pictured on the sofa, using a red wool suit which I felted for the birds and a linen skirt for the pillow. Unfortunately the wool suit must have had a blend in it because it didn't felt well and slowing started to unravel as we used the pillow. So sadly  it has been retired to the closet. I decide to immortalize it in gouache.

My pencil is moving faster then my brain , like I'm on a mission to fill this sketch book. It feels good to do these quick sketches for now.

Biking There

I started "Bucolic Dreaming" with the intention of journaling about our bike excursions into the countryside. However when I started blogging it was winter and we were not yet biking. Vintage Find

 

Look what treasures I found on one of our recent biking trips! (I will be blogging about our biking  adventures on a new blog, soon to be up and running) The sheet music and books, full of beautiful images, dates back to the late 1800's. They are not in good conditions, bindings broke and pages tattered, so let the creative juice flow!!!!!
